Transitioning can be a brutal process, at times you feel like giving up but once you’ve made the decision to go natural just stick with it ladies!
Do: Choose different protective styles that will give you longevity so you don’t have to mess with your hair other than for washing and moisturizing.
Don’t: Invest your money on products that “claim” to bring back your curls. It’s all a gimmick. There is absolutely NO such thing. Once the curl is gone it’s not coming back until you grow out or cut your chemical or heat damage off.
Do: Get your hair trimmed regularly. As your new growth starts to come in the straight pieces just become more of headache by wrapping around one another getting tangled. So tame the beast and get that trim every 8-12 weeks.
Don’t: Rip through the straight pieces when detangling. In most cases straight hair is usually weak and brittle and the last thing you want to do is rip through the hair and cause breakage to your new growth. Be patient, start from the ends and take your time;)
